With lots of different mediums to explore and techniques to master, our wide selection of Art, Sculpture and Printing workshops will allow you to discover the artist within.
Keeping workshops classes small and working with Tutors who are experts in their field, all of our workshops are suitable for both complete beginners or for those of you who just want an opportunity to brush up on your creative skills!
Unless otherwise stated, timings for all workshops are as follows:
One day workshops - 9.30am to 3pm
Half day workshops - 9.30am to 12pm
Evening workshops - 7pm to 9pm.

An Introduction to Printmaking
Saturday 17 March @ Bay Tree Cottage, Farthingstone
£60.00On this one day introductory course, Iain Hodgkinson will take you through the basic techniques of printmaking to create textural and beautiful images with this versatile medium. You will learn different effects that can be achieved, choose a preferred method to create a print, create a ‘plate’ from which to print in Lino, drypoint or woodcut and create a finished print to take home.

Printmaking without Presses

The workshop will be run by Iain Hodgkinson , a local Printmaker who uses a variety of techniques in his work including collagraphs, etching, lino and woodcuts to print onto a selection prepared mixed backgrounds. This relationship between the printed and the painted results in a marriage of texture, form and depth which Iain exploits to the full! -
