From soap making to indigo dying, bee keeping to stained glass, our extensive range of craft workshops will help you rediscover the homespun crafts of your grandparents’ era!
Working with a range of country craftsmen (...and women), our tutors are true experts in thier field and keen to pass on thier knowledge to others! They will work with you to master some time-honoured skills to keep our traditional country crafts alive!
Unless otherwise stated, timings for all workshops are as follows:
One day workshops - 9.30am to 3pm
Half day workshops - 9.30am to 12pm
Evening workshops - 7pm to 9pm

Decoupage Easter Eggs
Tuesday 13 March @ Canons Ashby House National Trust Property
£15.00Take a step back in time into the beautiful surroundings of the National Trust property at Canons Ashby for this half-day workshop to learn how to make some beautiful hand blown egg decorations to adorn your home this Easter.
We will show you how to blow hen's eggs and embellish them using the Victorian's favorite decorating method of decoupage.
Once you have mastered the art, this is a wonderful activity to either enjoy on your own or together with your friends and family!

£60.00During this very ‘hand-on’ workshop, you will learn how to use an Indigo Vat to create a wonderful selection of mainly blue fabrics and threads, using ‘Shibori’, the Japanese way of stitching and folding fabrics, to create a range of different patterns.

Peg Loom Weaving
