Wire Sculpture - Chickens, Geese & Feathered Friends!

Spaces Available

Saturday 4 November 2017 (One Day)

9.30am - 3pm

During this fun hands-on workshop, using both single strand and chicken wire, Lindsay will show you how to create and develop the form of a bird in wire! From a Chicken, Goose or Bird of Prey, you can choose your 'feathered friend' and with help and guidance from Lindsay, bring it to life in wire!

We are delighted to welcome Lindsay Waring, a local Sculptor from Buckinghamshire as our tutor for this workshop. Lindsay has worked alongside many talented sculptors including Mary Orrom, a distinguished and renowned artist and sculptress!

Lindsay enjoys experimenting with mixed media, with wire being her specialty. With this medium she is able to capture movement in her animal work whilst encapsulating the subject’s character, and her human forms portray emotion in a contemporary manner.

After a brief introduction to the tools and materials that you will be using, Lindsay will give a short demonstration and then get you all started on your own piece of sculpture, offering you all one-to-one tutoring throughout the day to help you create a masterpiece to take home!

To ensure that everyone receives plenty of one-to-one help, this workshop is limited to a eight participants.

This workshop is suitable for both complete beginners and intermediates who would like to develop their experience and skills using wire as a medium.

Visit our gallery to see the fun we had on a previous occasion.
