Discover what’s happening in April at Bay Tree Cottage

April is nearly here and hopefully we will all be feeling the benefit of the lengthening days and warm sunshine!

Here’s a look at what we have coming up:

Craft Night (Introduction to Leather Craft) – Wednesday 4 April, 7-9.30pm (£24.50pp)
Learn how to craft personalised leather keyrings and bracelets that you will treasure. A homemade soup, roll and cake supper is included!

Curry Club (Thai Cuisine) – Friday 6 April, 7-9pm (£24.50pp)
Discover how to balance the hot, sour, sweet, salty and savoury flavours which are so important in Thai cuisine. Make Thai green curry, rice cakes, Thai salad and sticky rice pudding!

Traditional Upholstery – Tuesday 17 April, 10am-3.30pm (£75pp)
Learn traditional skills and techniques to restore your cherished furniture or vintage find to its former glory!

Willow Plant Supports – Thursday 19 April & Saturday 28 April, 10am-12.30pm (38.50pp)
Local country craftsman Bert Manton will guide you through making your own willow plant support – great for climbing plants and for adding a sculptural element to your outside space.

Mediterranean Breads – Tuesday 24 April, 9.30am-3pm (£75pp)
Enjoy a hands-on day of baking including classic ciabatta, cornbread with parmesan and sun-dried tomatoes, Turkish flatbread, Italian Farinata and sage, pancetta and potato bread.

Pudding Night (Spring) – Tuesday 24 April, 7-9pm (£24.50pp)
See a demonstration of two seasonal desserts then roll up your sleeves, don an apron and make your own!

Cheese & Butter Making – Wednesday 25 April, 9.30am-3pm (£75pp)
Join us for this fascinating workshop where you can learn the traditional art of home cheese and butter making.

Basic Felt Making – Friday 27 April, 10am-12.30pm (£38.50pp)
Use a range of colourful merino wool tops and other natural fibres to create patterns and textures within your own decorative felt picture
